Suspects in cellphone robbery thefts snared in Hawthorne police sting
Four people who posed as potential customers for cellphones posted for sale on the internet were in jail Monday, suspected of robbing their victims when they met for the purchases at a Hawthorne burger restaurant. The arrests occurred Friday at Fabulous Burgers at 3301 W. Rosecrans Ave., where police posing as a seller conducted an undercover sting operation to nab them, Hawthorne police said.

Authorities identify Long Beach woman, 20, killed in two-car collision
A Ford Mustang was speeding above 60 miles per hour in a commercial district on Long Beach Boulevard late Friday when it smashed into car making a left turn, killing a 20-year-old woman and injuring four other people, police said Sunday. Authorities identified the woman killed as Jaslyn Ouch, 20, of Long Beach.
